Vodafone Idea Launches New Recharge Plan Offering Year-Long Free Data

In a bid to retain existing users and attract new subscribers amid growing competition in the private telecom sector, Vodafone Idea (Vi) has introduced a new prepaid plan under its “Super Hero” series. The announcement comes as rival telecom operators Jio, Bharti Airtel, and others have begun offering unlimited 5G data on select 4G plans.

Vodafone Idea’s new prepaid plans, priced at ₹3,599, ₹3,699, and ₹3,799, offer unlimited data from midnight (12:00 AM) to noon (12:00 PM) for an entire year. During the remaining 12 hours of the day, users can access 2GB of daily data. Additionally, any unused daily data will be rolled over for weekend usage, allowing subscribers to utilize the accumulated data before the end of each weekend.

Currently, these plans are available only in select telecom circles, including Maharashtra, Delhi, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, West Bengal, Punjab, and Haryana.

Furthermore, the ₹3,699 recharge plan includes a complimentary one-year subscription to Disney Hotstar Mobile. The higher-tier plan, priced at ₹3,799, adds an Amazon Prime Lite subscription alongside the Disney Hotstar Mobile offer. According to company sources, the “Super Hero” prepaid plans may soon be expanded to other telecom circles.
