After inaugurating the Dokka Seethamma Mid-Day Meal Scheme today at the Payakapuram Junior College in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh Minister for Education Nara Lokesh addressed the media. He stated that the government is fulfilling all election promises methodically, while also implementing additional schemes that were not part of the original manifesto.

Nara Lokesh highlighted that, without any public demand, the government initiated a mid-day meal program for intermediate students. He also invited YSR Congress Party leader and Pulivendula MLA Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy to come out of his comfort zone and witness the welfare initiatives being undertaken by the current administration.

“Jagan coming among the people and understanding their issues is welcome. Now, the roads have been improved, and he can travel safely on them. We still have a lot more to do, and we will deliver. We urge him to observe the good programs we are implementing. Starting from the next academic year, we will introduce the ‘Talli Ki Vandana’ scheme,” Lokesh stated.

He further criticized the previous government, claiming that unlike the opposition, their administration was not anti-people. “Our government works among the people and resolves their problems. We are identifying public issues through ‘Prajadarbar’ and solving them. Due to the mistakes of the previous government, the state is burdened with debt. We are paying interest of INR 4,000 crores. Despite this, we are offering a pension of INR 4,000, which is unparalleled in the country. We have reopened the ‘Anna Canteens’ that were shut down by the previous government, and the free gas scheme is already in place,” Lokesh explained.
