Pawan Kalyan Hopes for Blockbuster Success at ‘Game Changer’ Pre-Release Event
Pawan Kalyan, the Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, attended the pre-release event of the upcoming film Game Changer in Rajahmundry as the chief guest. During his speech, he greeted the audience and extended his heartfelt wishes to the cast and crew of the film. Pawan began by saying, “I convey my respects to everyone attending this event and to all those watching it. Special greetings to my fans as well,” he added with a smile.
Reflecting on Director Shankar's work, Pawan Kalyan recalled, “I watched Shankar’s Gentleman in Chennai, and I went with my grandmother to see Premikudu. His films always convey a social message. Today, filmmakers like Rajamouli, Ram Charan, and NTR have achieved global recognition, thanks to the efforts of directors like Shankar. He has impressed Telugu audiences with his Tamil films, and I always wished he would direct a Telugu movie.”
Pawan Kalyan also praised producer Dil Raju, recalling his association with him. “Dil Raju distributed my film Tholi Prema. When I was going through difficult times, he offered me Vakeel Saab. The money I earned from that film became the fuel for Jana Sena,” he remarked, acknowledging Dil Raju’s role in his professional and political journey.
Speaking about Ram Charan’s acting prowess, Pawan Kalyan said, “I believed Ram Charan deserved an award for Rangasthalam. Even though he didn’t grow up in the coastal regions depicted in the film, he portrayed the role so convincingly. While his father, Chiranjeevi, is a megastar, Ram Charan has become a global star. With determination and hard work, anyone can rise to such heights. I am where I am today because of my brother Chiranjeevi’s hard work.”
Sharing personal memories, Pawan Kalyan recounted moments from his childhood. “After returning home tired from shooting, my brother Chiranjeevi would rest, and I used to help him by removing his shoes and socks. We never wished ill for anyone in our lives. Our father taught us to think about the well-being of everyone. That’s why we always wish for others’ happiness,” he said.
He also expressed admiration for Ram Charan’s skills. “When I see Ram Charan’s horse riding, I feel a bit envious because I never learned it properly. During Gabbar Singh, I tried riding a horse but didn’t feel confident. I even spoke to the horse, saying I didn’t know how to ride it, and offered it a carrot for cooperation. Luckily, it carried me safely. Ram Charan, however, has undergone proper training in horse riding.” He added that he had watched the Game Changer trailer and found it impressive, saying, “The film seems to carry a strong social message.”
Pawan Kalyan concluded his speech by wishing for the safety and well-being of everyone who attended the event. “I want everyone to return home safely. If anything happens to you, it would hurt my heart deeply. Please watch the film for entertainment. Ticket prices are determined by demand and supply, and every ticket includes GST, contributing revenue to the government. I dislike politicizing cinema. People from all walks of life come together to make films. Let’s not color it with politics.”
He encouraged filmmakers to focus on original storytelling and showcase Indian cultural roots rather than imitating Hollywood. “Late Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao never discriminated against anyone, and even Chandrababu Naidu has always supported the growth of the Telugu film industry,” Pawan Kalyan remarked, acknowledging their contributions.
Commenting on Shankar’s iconic films, he said, “Watching films like Oke Okkadu and Sivaji gives immense satisfaction. Films should have both good and bad elements, and it’s up to the audience to decide what to take away from them. I hope more films with values that educate and entertain emerge in the future.”
Pawan Kalyan ended by extending his best wishes to the entire Game Changer team, including Ram Charan, Shankar, Dil Raju, and SJ Suryah. “SJ Suryah is a talented director and actor. He has always expressed a desire to act, and he’s impressing audiences with his performances. I hope Game Changer becomes a massive hit and shatters box office records in the new year,” he concluded.
