Turaka Kishore, Accused in Attack on Buddha Venkanna and Bonda Uma, Arrested
Police have arrested Turaka Kishore, a YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) leader, in connection with the attack on Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leaders Buddha Venkanna and Bonda Uma during the previous government’s rule. The incident took place in Macherla, and Kishore is known to be a close associate of former YSRCP MLA Pinnelli Ramakrishna Reddy. Allegations have surfaced in the past that Kishore was involved in several acts of intimidation and illegal activities, allegedly under the protection of the YSRCP government.
Following the change in administration in Andhra Pradesh, Kishore reportedly went into hiding, fearing arrest. However, Palnadu police, who had been tracking his movements, apprehended him recently in Hyderabad. Though Kishore was initially arrested during the previous government's tenure, he was released on station bail within a day at that time.
