TTD EO Responds to Tirupati Stampede Incident
TTD Executive Officer (EO) Shyamal Rao has responded to the tragic stampede incident that occurred at the Vaikuntha Dwara darshan token distribution centers in Tirupati on Wednesday, resulting in the death of six devotees. Preliminary information suggests that the stampede happened due to the opening of gates by the DSP, according to the EO. Shyamal Rao visited the injured devotees receiving treatment at Padmavati Medical College in Tirupati and inquired about their health condition from the attending doctors.
While speaking to the media, the EO described the incident as unfortunate and confirmed that 41 people were injured. He assured that an investigation is underway to determine the exact cause of the incident, and complete details will be revealed after the inquiry concludes. He further noted that some of the injured were discharged after receiving primary treatment. Among those still undergoing treatment, none are in a critical condition, and only two individuals have sustained serious injuries. He assured that appropriate medical care is being provided to them.
