YSRCP leader and former minister R.K. Roja alleged that the recent stampede incident in Tirupati was a direct result of the negligence of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) vigilance officials. Speaking to the media, Roja criticized the coalition government, attributing the tragedy to what she called its irresponsibility. She stated, "Whenever Chandrababu Naidu comes to power, incidents leading to deaths occur." Roja further accused Chandrababu Naidu of poor governance, referring to the past Godavari Pushkaram tragedy where a stampede resulted in the loss of many lives.

Drawing a parallel between the Godavari Pushkaram incident and the recent Tirupati stampede, Roja said, "This is another example of Chandrababu Naidu’s incompetent administration." She demanded that cases be filed against Chandrababu Naidu, TTD Chairman B.R. Naidu, and the district Superintendents of Police (SPs) involved.

Roja recalled a past incident where, despite having no involvement, actor Allu Arjun was charged in connection with the Sandhya Theater case. She questioned why similar action was not being taken against those responsible for the current tragedy. “Why are there no cases being filed against Chandrababu, TTD Chairman, and the SPs responsible for public safety?” she asked.

Additionally, Roja alleged that the deaths resulting from the incident were akin to government-led killings. She criticized Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, saying, "Pawan Kalyan, who claims to be a protector of Sanatana Dharma, is silent now. What is he doing while so many people have lost their lives?" Roja further questioned the silence of Hindu spiritual leaders and organizers of the 'Haidava Shankharavam' event, demanding to know why they had not yet reacted to the tragedy.
