CM Chandrababu Gets Relief in Skill Development Case from Supreme Court
In a significant development, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu received relief from the Supreme Court in the Skill Development case. The court rejected a petition filed by the previous government seeking the cancellation of Chandrababu Naidu's bail. Noting that a charge sheet had already been filed in the case, the court stated that it could not interfere at this stage. However, the bench advised Chandrababu Naidu’s counsel to ensure full cooperation with the investigation when necessary. This verdict was delivered on Wednesday by a Supreme Court bench headed by Justice Bela M. Trivedi.

The YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) government had initiated the Skill Development case against Chandrababu Naidu, who was then the opposition leader. Following his arrest, Chandrababu Naidu was sent to judicial custody. Later, the Andhra Pradesh High Court granted him bail, enabling his release from jail. Dissatisfied with this outcome, the YSRCP government moved the Supreme Court, seeking cancellation of the bail. On Wednesday, the Supreme Court reviewed the petition but declined to cancel the bail, citing the filing of a charge sheet as a critical reason.
