Jagan Attending Assembly Only to Protect His MLA Post, Says Minister Nimmala

The Andhra Pradesh Assembly Budget Session is set to commence tomorrow (February 24) after a nearly seven-month-long hiatus. The return of YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) chief Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy to the Assembly has drawn attention, with Minister Nimmala Ramanaidu offering sharp criticism regarding his motives.
Nimmala Ramanaidu alleged that Jagan Mohan Reddy had been absent from the Assembly for an extended period and accused him of staying away from public accountability. "Jagan is not coming to the Assembly out of love for the people or to discuss public issues. He is attending only because he fears losing his position," the minister claimed. He further stated that the YSRCP leader was appearing in the Assembly solely to safeguard his MLA post.
The minister criticized Jagan Mohan Reddy’s tenure, alleging that it was marked by "deception, exploitation, and destruction" over the past five years. "This is why the people have decided not to grant him even the status of an opposition leader and have sent him home," Nimmala Ramanaidu remarked. He asserted that the public had closely observed Jagan Mohan Reddy’s "misdeeds" and would hold him accountable.
