India Relieved as Varun Chakravarthy Removes Travis Head in Champions Trophy Semifinal
Australian left-handed batsman Travis Head has established himself as a formidable opponent for Team India. He played a crucial role in India's defeats in the ICC World Test Championship final and the ODI World Cup final. Additionally, he posed a significant challenge during the recent Border-Gavaskar Trophy. As a result, Indian fans were apprehensive about his performance in today's Champions Trophy semifinal.

However, India's mystery spinner Varun Chakravarthy curtailed Head’s innings before he could cause major damage. After winning the toss in Dubai, Australia opted to bat. Opening the innings, Head scored 39 runs before being dismissed by Chakravarthy. Attempting a big shot off a delivery on the off-and-middle stump line, he was caught by Shubman Gill at long-off. This dismissal came as a relief for Team India.

Head’s innings lasted 33 balls and included five fours and two sixes. At the end of 13 overs, Australia had scored 72 runs for the loss of two wickets. Captain Steve Smith (23*), and Marnus Labuschagne (3*) were at the crease. Opener Cooper Connolly was dismissed for a duck, with Mohammed Shami claiming his wicket.
