Tollywood lyricist Kandikonda passes away
Hyderabad: Another tragedy took place on Saturday in Tollywood. Lyricist Kandikonda Yadagiri (49), who had been ill for some time, passed away. His family members announced that he had breathed his last at his residence in Vengala Rao Nagar of Hyderabad.
Kandikonda Yadagiri hails from Narsampet in Warangal district. He studied MA (Telugu) and MA (Politics) at Osmania University. He had entered the Telugu film industry due to his interest in Telugu literature and started his journey with the song "Malli Kuyave Guvva .." in "Itlu Shravani Subramaniam" starring Ravi Teja and directed by Puri Jagannadh. After that, he penned lyrics for 'Idiot' 'Satyam', 'Pokiri', 'Lovely', 'Needi Nadi Oke Katha'. He also wrote songs for other films.
Kandikonda, who fell seriously ill in 2018 due to a spinal problem, had not been able to write songs since then. In addition, his family was in serious trouble due to Kandikonda's illness. Minister KTR responded immediately after learning about it and provided treatment on behalf of the government to Kandikonda. Although Kandikonda's health seemed to improve with this, but yet again it also deteriorated, and finally, he breathed his last on Saturday.
