KGF2 breaks record for first day box office collections of Bollywood movies

Hyderabad: As expected 'KGF-2', which was directed by Prashant Neel, has become a blockbuster. The film, starring Yash, has grossed a record amount in Hindi, according to film analyst Taran Adarsh.

'KGF-2' made the history of sorts as it breaks the record for first-day box office collections of Bollywood movies 'War' and 'Thugs of Hindustan'. 'KGF-2' is now the highest-grossing film of the first day in Hindi, said Taran Adarsh. 'KGF-2' earned Rs 53.95 crore on the first day, while 'War' earned Rs 51.60 crore on the first day and 'Thugs of Hindustan' Rs 50.75 crore.

KGF2, Prashant Neel’s most anticipated movie, which was released after Rajamouli’s RRR, has not disappointed film buffs as they received the movie with a huge thumbs up. Baahubali and Baahubali have become game-changer for South Indian movies, which were earlier confined to their respective states.

Rajamouli’s film has become a huge success as the audience across the country started looking at the south films. Since then there was no looking back and Baahubali was followed by KGF, Allu Arjun’s Pushpa, RRR and now KGF2. Kudos to the south film industry for making Bollywood bigwigs to turned their heads toward our films. Let us hope the success continues with more Pan India movies.
