Anchor Anasuya to act as Madhuravani in Krish's 'Kanyasulkam' web series
Hyderabad: Anchor Anasuya Bharadwaj earned fame by anchoring and appearing in special roles in films from time to time. She played the role of 'Rangammatta' in 'Rangasthalam' and got appreciation. Recently, she acted as Dakshayan in the Pan India film 'Pushpa: The Rise'. Now she is all set to act in Chiranjeevi’s movie 'Godfather' in another special role.
Kanyashulkam is a classic play written by Gurjada Appa Rao was remade into a film in which legendary actress the late Savitri essayed the role of Madhuravani. So, director Krish Jagarlamudi will be making a web series with this story.
It seems that Krish will take care of story-script responsibilities, giving a chance to a new director for this web series. It is reported that Anasuya will play the role of a prostitute Madhuravani in this series. There are whispers that Anasuya has also given her nod to act in this role.
Needless to say, Madhuravani's role in the Kanyashulkam play and film became a big hit in those days. It seems that Anasuya will be reprising that role, which impressed the earlier generations, but we have to wait for a few days until Anasya confirms this news.
