File cases on Sajjala, Botsa for insulting CM in public, Nara Lokesh to Jagan
Amaravati, September 9: TDP national general secretary and MLC Nara Lokesh on Friday tweeted that the YSRCP government has been registering sedition cases on TDP leaders and activists if they criticise Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s rule on social media.
The MLC asked Jagan as to why cases are not being filed against Education Minister Botsa Satyanarayana and AP government advisor Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy for insulting the CM in public. Lokesh was referring to remarks made by Botsa during a press meet.
Satyanarayana admitted that the YSRCP gave promise to restore Old Pension Scheme (OPS) in place of existing Contributory Pension Scheme (CPS) without assessing the financial situation of the state. While Sajjala stated that the YSRCP government proposed Guaranteed Pension Scheme (GPS) as an alternative to CPS. But employees’ unions want the AP government to fulfil the promise made to them and not willing to accept the GPS.
