Three Hindu women on way for religious ritual pelted with stones in Nuh

Gurugram, Nov 17: Tension gripped Haryana's Nuh district following injuries to three women in stone pelting by unidentified youths allegedly from a mosque, police said.

According to the police, the incident took place near a mosque around 8.25 p.m when a group of women were on the way for a 'kuan (well) poojan' from ward no 10 in Nuh.

When they reached near the mosque, suddenly stones were pelted leaving them injured, the police said.

The victims are undergoing treatment at a civil hospital in Nuh.

Upon information, Nuh Superintendent of Police Narender Bijarniya, along with a huge police force, reached the spot and took stock of the situation.

"We are probing the matter as few women received injuries during the incident. Action will be taken as per the law," he said.

On July 31, six people, including two home guards and a cleric, died in communal clashes that erupted in Nuh when the Vishva Hindu Parishad's Braj Mandal Yatra was attacked by a mob.
