Cricketer who played for India targeted to not play for AP: Chandrababu, Lokesh on Hanuma Vihari's exit
Amaravati: It is well known that Hanuma Vihari made a sensational announcement that he will not play for Andhra Pradesh (AP) in the future due to increasing political interference in Andhra cricket. Vihari expressed his grief that he was removed from captaincy for the sake of a political leader's son, making it clear that he could not stay where his self-respect was hurt. Against this backdrop, TDP supremo Chandrababu Naidu and youth leader Nara Lokesh lashed out at the YSRCP government.
Chandrababu criticized that the Andhra Cricket Association succumbing to the vengeful politics of YSRCP is shameful. He lamented that Hanuma Vihari, a smart international cricketer for India, has been targeted to an extent that he has vowed never to play for AP again. "Hanuma, stay strong... Your dedication and commitment to cricket speak volumes about your character. These unjust actions do not reflect the true spirit of AP or its people. We will always support you and ensure justice is served," he said.
Responding to the situation, Nara Lokesh expressed surprise over the bitter exit of Hanuma Vihari due to political meddling by the ruling party. He invited Vihari to play for AP again within two months, promising a red carpet welcome for him and the AP team. Lokesh assured all necessary support for the AP team to win the upcoming Ranji Trophy.
