Purandeswari Clarifies BJP's Position on Alliance Talks in Andhra Pradesh

As the time for Assembly and Parliament elections in Andhra Pradesh draws near, with the election schedule expected to be released in a few days, negotiations for seat-sharing between the TDP and Janasena Party have already concluded, and both parties are announcing their candidates. However, there has been no clarity on an alliance with the BJP, and no official announcements have been made by the BJP leadership regarding the direction of such an alliance. Amidst this, BJP State President Purandeswari made significant remarks about the potential alliance.

Purandeswari stated that if there were to be an alliance, it would be announced by the senior leaders of their party. She mentioned that they have prepared a list of candidates for all 175 Assembly and 25 MP constituencies and will be sending this list to the high command in two days. She also revealed that up to 2000 candidates have shown interest in contesting the elections, and after careful scrutiny, three to five candidates have been shortlisted for each constituency. She added that their parliamentary committee is reviewing these shortlists to finalize the candidates. Furthermore, she noted that they are collecting opinions from the manifesto committee and will soon announce the manifesto.
