Lokesh criticizes police raids on TDP leaders' homes in Nellore, alleges manipulation by CM Jagan
Amaravati: Nara Lokesh, the National General Secretary of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), has strongly reacted to the police raids on the homes of TDP leaders in the Nellore district. He accused Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy of removing his "mask" and resorting to factionalist tactics due to the certainty of defeat in the upcoming elections.
Lokesh criticized Jagan's authoritarian methods and stated that senior leaders from Nellore district are joining TDP due to being unable to tolerate these tactics. He claimed that this is the reason why the police were used to intimidate TDP leaders by conducting raids on their homes. Lokesh named Vijitha Reddy, Pattabhi Rama Reddy, Vijayabhaskar Reddy, and the financier Gurubrahmam as victims of these raids, which he said created a terrifying atmosphere.
He condemned the use of police as puppets by Jagan, stating that it is an assassination of democracy. Lokesh has called for immediate intervention by the Election Commission of India in the state's affairs and requested the deployment of a special observer to Andhra Pradesh. If necessary, he suggested that central forces should be deployed. Furthermore, Lokesh demanded strict actions against some police officers who have turned into cronies of Jagan.
