Ram Charan to Receive Honorary Doctorate from Chennai Vels University

In a significant accolade to his credit, global star Ram Charan is set to receive an honorary doctorate from Vels Virtual University in Chennai. The convocation of Vels University in Pallavaram, Chennai, scheduled for April 13, will see Ram Charan attending as the chief guest. On this occasion, the Chairman of AICTE, DG Sitarām, will present Ram Charan with the honorary doctorate.

Ram Charan has been chosen for this doctorate in recognition of his contributions to the cinema industry as well as his social service. Beginning his cinematic journey with the film "Chirutha" as the son of megastar Chiranjeevi, Ram Charan has never looked back. He has established his own brand image and has risen to become a global star. His international fame skyrocketed with the movie "RRR."

Interestingly, earlier this year in January, Vels University had also announced a doctorate for Janasena chief Pawan Kalyan. However, acknowledging the accomplishments of many others in various fields, Pawan Kalyan humbly declined to accept the doctorate. Furthermore, he mentioned that due to the hectic schedule of the elections, he would not be able to attend the university's convocation ceremony.
