Sharmila questions Jagan's opposition to CBI probe in YS Viveka's murder case

Kadapa: During her campaign speech in Peddamudium Mandal, Kadapa district, APCC President Sharmila launched another wave of criticism against her brother and current Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy. She drew parallels between Lord Rama and Lakshman, and YS Rajasekhara Reddy and YS Vivekananda Reddy, emphasizing the latter's importance to YSR.

Sharmila expressed deep anguish over the brutal murder of Vivekananda Reddy, who was allegedly attacked with an axe seven times, noting that even five years after his death, justice has not been served. She accused CM Jagan of shielding those responsible for Vivekananda's murder, questioning why he fears a CBI investigation.

Sharmila asserted that everyone knows who killed Vivekananda, stating that all evidence related to the murder is with the CBI. She mentioned that evidence also points to YS Avinash Reddy as a suspect. Describing an incident in Kurnool, she criticized the orchestrated curfew-like situation by local authorities aimed at preventing the CBI from arresting Avinash Reddy, alleging that CM Jagan is obstructing the arrest and protecting the accused.

She further criticized Jagan for his reluctance to hand over the investigation to the CBI, especially after advocating for it when he was in the opposition. Sharmila concluded her speech by positioning herself as a staunch supporter of justice and morality, pledging her life to the service of the people and requesting their support in the upcoming elections.
