Hema Appeals to MAA President with Drug Test Evidence Amid Rave Party Allegations
Actress Hema, embroiled in the controversy surrounding the Bengaluru rave party, has written a sensational letter to the Movie Artists Association (MAA). On Monday, she personally handed over this letter along with a copy of her drug test report to MAA President Manchu Vishnu. Hema expressed her anguish, stating that false propaganda was spread against her regarding the rave party incident, and that it was unfair to suspend her membership based on media reports.
In her letter, Hema mentioned that it was unjust to revoke her membership without issuing a show-cause notice or seeking her explanation. She noted that she recently underwent a drug test, which came back negative, and provided a copy of this report to Manchu Vishnu. Hema stated that the truth about the allegations against her would come to light through the police investigation.
Previously, during a rave party at a farmhouse in Bengaluru, police conducted a raid and arrested several individuals. Police revealed that Telugu actress Hema was present at the party, to which Hema responded by releasing a selfie video claiming she was in Hyderabad at the time. This video angered the Bengaluru police, who accused her of making the video while in their custody and posting it on social media. Hema was arrested and sent to jail, but later released on bail. Following these allegations and her imprisonment, MAA revoked her membership.
Hema criticized the revocation of her membership by MAA. She highlighted that according to MAA bylaws, she should have been issued a show-cause notice and given an opportunity to explain her side before any action was taken. She reminded them that no such notice was given to her before the association decided to revoke her membership. In response, MAA President Manchu Vishnu assured Hema that her letter would be forwarded to the advisory committee, and a decision would be made after their discussion.
