Minister Payyavula Responds to Allegations: No Rice Business After Family Split

In the midst of a heated exchange between ruling coalition leaders and YSRCP leaders over the illegal transport of ration rice from Kakinada port, Minister Payyavula Keshav has clarified his stance, denying any involvement of his family in the rice business post their split.

The controversy erupted when YSRCP leader Perni Nani accused the state finance minister's brother-in-law of being behind the illegal rice transport. Responding to these allegations, Minister Payyavula Keshav stated that his brother-in-law's family has been in the boiled rice export business for three generations. However, he emphasized that after their family split, they have not been involved in the rice business.

Minister Keshav further challenged anyone with doubts to set up a check post and inspect every sack of rice. He even offered to provide chairs and tents for the check post. He firmly stated that there is no connection between the illegal transport of ration rice and his brother-in-law's business.
