BRS MLA Padi Kaushik Reddy Granted Bail

BRS MLA Padi Kaushik Reddy has been granted bail. The court approved his bail with two sureties and a fine of ₹5,000. The case against him and 20 of his associates was filed based on a complaint by CI Raghavendra, alleging obstruction of duty at Banjara Hills police station.

On Thursday morning, police visited Kaushik Reddy's residence in Kondapur and took him into custody. He was subsequently shifted to the Banjara Hills police station. After a medical examination at Osmania Hospital, he was presented before the judge later that evening. Following the hearing, the judge granted him bail.

The incident stemmed from a visit by Kaushik Reddy to the Banjara Hills police station on Wednesday. He had gone there to file a complaint, alleging that his phone was being tapped by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and Intelligence IG Shivadhar Reddy. However, upon not finding the ACP at the station, he reportedly created a ruckus along with his followers. Based on this, CI Raghavendra filed a case, leading to Kaushik Reddy’s arrest on Thursday.
