Rashmika Apologizes for Mistake in Recent Interview

Rashmika Mandanna, popularly known as the "National Crush," recently issued an apology on social media for a mix-up she made during an interview. She mentioned that the first film she watched in a theater was 'Ghilli,' starring Tamil actor Vijay, adding that she admires Vijay's work immensely.

In the interview, Rashmika mistakenly stated that 'Ghilli' was a remake of the Telugu movie 'Pokiri.' However, netizens were quick to point out that 'Ghilli' is actually a remake of the Telugu film 'Okkadu.' The clip from her interview soon went viral, with users playfully teasing her for the error.

Responding on "X" (formerly Twitter), Rashmika humorously addressed the situation in Telugu. She wrote:

"Yes, I realized this after the interview was over… Sorry! ‘Ghilli’ is a remake of ‘Okkadu,’ while ‘Pokiri’ was remade in Tamil with the same title. By then, posts about my mistake were already viral on social media. Sorry, sorry… my bad! But I truly love all the movies they’ve acted in."

Meanwhile, Rashmika continues to bask in the success of her recent blockbuster, 'Pushpa: The Rule' (Pushpa 2). The film has already grossed over ₹1,500 crore worldwide, breaking numerous records, particularly in Bollywood, where it has seen unprecedented success.

Currently, Rashmika is busy with multiple upcoming projects, including 'Chhava,' 'Sikandar,' 'The Girlfriend,' and 'Kubera.'
