KCR and Harish Rao Granted Interim Relief in Medigadda Case

The Telangana High Court has suspended orders issued by the Bhupalpally District Court directing former Chief Minister and BRS President K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) and former Minister Harish Rao to appear in connection with the alleged subsidence of the Medigadda Barrage. The judge noted that the district court's orders were procedurally flawed.

The orders originated from a petition filed by Rajalingamurthy, alleging that KCR and Harish Rao were responsible for the subsidence. Notices had been issued to the accused in this matter.

Advocates representing KCR and Harish Rao argued that the district court lacked jurisdiction over the case. They also cited earlier judgments from the High Court and the Supreme Court to bolster their stance. After hearing arguments from both sides, the High Court stayed the Bhupalpally court's directives and adjourned the case to January 7 for further hearing.
