Chandrababu Should Also Make Decisions on Movie Ticket Prices: Kethireddy Jagadeeshwar Reddy

Telangana's government has taken a serious stance following a tragic incident outside Sandhya Theater during the premiere of 'Pushpa-2,' where a woman lost her life. The government announced that it would no longer permit benefit shows or allow ticket price hikes for movies. This decision was welcomed by the Telangana Film Chamber.

In response to these developments, Andhra Pradesh Film Producers Council President Kethireddy Jagadeeshwar Reddy made noteworthy comments. He expressed appreciation for Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s decision to eliminate benefit shows for movies. "This announcement has brought joy to audiences and many in the film industry who have relied on them," Kethireddy stated.

Kethireddy also highlighted that higher ticket prices in recent years had reduced theater attendance. He remarked that the latest decision would allow the average viewer to once again enjoy movies with their families in theaters.

He further urged Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu to adopt a similar policy on ticket prices. Kethireddy suggested ending the practice of indiscriminately raising ticket prices for every movie. He called for the establishment of a committee of experts to create guidelines that would promote the growth of the film industry in Andhra Pradesh before implementing such measures.
