Rashmika Mandanna Did Not Enjoy Performing ‘Peelings’ Song: CPI Narayana

The blockbuster success of "Pushpa-2" is widely known, with the film grossing over ₹1,600 crores globally. However, the song "Peelings" from the movie has sparked controversy. In this song, actress Rashmika Mandanna was featured in a glamorous performance, which has drawn sharp criticism from CPI leader Narayana.

CPI Narayana made a striking remark, stating, “Rashmika Mandanna did not enjoy dancing for the ‘Peelings’ song. She had to do it only because the director insisted.” He expressed dismay over the plight of women in the film industry, alleging that many are forced to suppress their self-respect to work.

Narayana also criticized "Pushpa-2" as a film, questioning why governments provide subsidies to movies that depict crime and obscenity. “Why portray a red sandalwood smuggler as a hero?” he asked, accusing the movie of glorifying criminal activities. He further criticized the steep hike in ticket prices, asking, “Why raise ₹100 tickets to ₹1,000?” Additionally, he condemned film stars for engaging in roadshows, implying it was unnecessary.
