Stampede Incident: CM Revanth Reddy Expresses Grief in Front of Film Industry Leaders

Hyderabad: The recent stampede incident at Sandhya Theatre on RTC Cross Road during the premiere show of "Pushpa-2" has drawn widespread attention. Tragically, Revathi, a woman in the crowd, lost her life. Addressing this matter, Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy expressed his anguish during a meeting with prominent figures from the film industry.

In the meeting, officials played video footage of the incident, highlighting the events that led to the chaos. According to sources, the Chief Minister criticized both the theatre management and the film’s lead actor for their apparent negligence. He stated that the government was taking the matter seriously due to the loss of a life.

CM Revanth Reddy emphasized that heroes must act responsibly, not just in their films but in real life as well. He urged the film industry to acknowledge its social responsibility. Stressing the importance of public safety and welfare, he reiterated that these are the government’s top priorities.

In a significant announcement during the meeting, the Chief Minister declared that henceforth, benefit shows and ticket price hikes would not be allowed in Telangana.
