PM Modi Arrives in Vijayawada, Departs for Amaravati by Helicopter

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to formally launch the resumption of construction work for the Andhra Pradesh capital, Amaravati, shortly. He has just arrived at the Gannavaram Airport in Vijayawada from Thiruvananthapuram, traveling on an official aircraft of the Government of India.
Upon his arrival, Prime Minister Narendra Modi was welcomed by Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly Speaker Ayyanna Patrudu and Deputy Speaker Raghu Rama Krishna Raju.
Subsequently, Prime Minister Narendra Modi proceeded by Indian Air Force helicopter directly to the helipad located at the Andhra Pradesh Secretariat. There, he will be welcomed by the Governor of Andhra Pradesh, the Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan. From the helipad, the leaders are heading to the public meeting venue together.
In light of the Prime Minister's visit, extensive security arrangements have been implemented. Meanwhile, the event venue in Amaravati is packed with hundreds of thousands of people.
