Sajjala, Avinash Appear Before CID in Mangalagiri TDP Office Attack Case
Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy, General Secretary of the YSRCP, appeared before the Crime Investigation Department (CID) today in connection with the case related to the attack on the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) central office in Mangalagiri during the tenure of the YSRCP government. He was accompanied by another YSRCP leader, Devineni Avinash, for the inquiry conducted at the CID's regional office in Guntur.

The attack on the TDP headquarters in Mangalagiri had triggered significant public and political attention at the time. Following the incident, a case was registered against Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy. Acting on notices issued by CID officials, both Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy and Devineni Avinash presented themselves at the Guntur CID regional office for questioning.

As Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy arrived for the inquiry, police stopped his vehicle near Court Road. Consequently, he proceeded to walk to the CID office. Expressing solidarity with Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy, several YSRCP leaders — including former ministers Ambati Rambabu and Vidudala Rajini, as well as Member of Legislative Council Lella Appi Reddy — gathered outside the CID premises.

In anticipation of potential unrest, a large police presence was deployed around the CID office to ensure law and order was maintained. According to available information, the CID has recorded the statements of both Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy and Devineni Avinash as part of the ongoing investigation.
