Aditi Shankar Set to Make Her Telugu Debut with 'Bhairava'

Aditi Shankar, daughter of prominent Tamil director Shankar, is making her debut in the Telugu film industry with the movie Bhairava. The film stars Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas, Manchu Manoj, and Nara Rohit in lead roles, and is directed by Vijay Kanakamedala. The production is being handled by KK Radhamohan under the Sri Sathya Sai Arts banner, with presentation by Jayantilal Gada of Pen Studios.
Speaking to the media about her first Telugu film experience, Aditi Shankar said, “After watching my Tamil debut film Viruman, director Vijay Kanakamedala called me and narrated the story of Bhairava. I liked the story very much and agreed to it immediately. This is my first film in Telugu. I strongly believe this is the right film for my entry into Tollywood. I am very happy to appear before the Telugu audience with a good film.”
Recalling childhood memories, Aditi added, “I used to visit Hyderabad and various parts of the Telugu states during my father’s film shoots. Now coming here for my own film shoot feels like a dream come true.” She clarified that she respects her father's legacy but never considered it a burden.
Describing her role in the film, Aditi shared, “In this film, I play a bold, honest, and very lively girl.”
She also expressed her comfort working with co-stars Sai Sreenivas, Manoj, and Rohit, saying, “Since they can speak Tamil, it was very comfortable working with them.” She continued, “I thoroughly enjoyed every moment on set. Producer Radhamohan is a very good person who visited the sets every day. Director Vijay Kanakamedala has a clear vision about his work. Sri Charan has delivered outstanding music,” she said, praising the film unit.
Expressing her admiration for Telugu cinema, Aditi said, “My favorite Telugu movie is Magadheera. It was the first Telugu film I watched in a theatre. After watching that film, I became a big fan of director S.S. Rajamouli and actor Ram Charan. In the future, I want to act in historical and period films, as well as roles that challenge my acting skills.”
Alongside Aditi Shankar, the film also stars Aanandhi and Divya Pillai as female leads. Amid high expectations, Bhairava is scheduled to release on August 30.
