Kaushik Reddy Recalls Dismissing Rohit Sharma in Ranji Match

Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leader and Huzurabad MLA Kaushik Reddy, who was once a Ranji cricketer, recently shared a cherished memory from his cricketing days through a post on the social media platform ‘X’ (formerly Twitter). In the post, Kaushik Reddy reminisced about the moment he dismissed current Indian One Day International (ODI) captain Rohit Sharma.
Before entering politics, Kaushik Reddy was an active cricketer who represented the Hyderabad Ranji team. In his tweet, he mentioned that while browsing through old newspaper clippings recently, memories of those times came flooding back. “I love cricket deeply. While looking through old newspaper clippings recently, I was reminded of the Hyderabad vs Mumbai match. Especially, the moment I dismissed current Indian captain Rohit Sharma came to mind. Such moments are truly rare,” wrote Kaushik Reddy on his ‘X’ handle.
Reflecting on this nostalgic moment, Kaushik Reddy recalled his significant contribution to Hyderabad’s memorable victory over the Mumbai team in that match. He stated that the experiences and achievements from his cricketing days have been a great source of inspiration for him. “These memories are golden moments,” he added in his post.
Kaushik Reddy primarily played as a fast bowler. In first-class cricket, he played 15 matches, claiming 47 wickets. As a batsman, he scored 299 runs, which included a half-century.
