Manchu Vishnu expresses gratitude to Prabhas, accuses kin of wishing for his downfall

Actor Manchu Vishnu, who is producing the high-profile film Kannappa, has intensified promotional activities ahead of its theatrical release on June 27. In a recent interview as part of the campaign, Manchu Vishnu made several noteworthy statements, including emotional and controversial remarks regarding the struggles he faced in his cinematic journey.

Speaking candidly about the obstacles he encountered, Manchu Vishnu expressed anguish over the behavior of certain individuals, stating, “Even those who share my blood wish for my downfall.” He revealed that amidst such adversity, it was actor Prabhas who came forward to support him without hesitation. “In today's times, even minor actors don't care to help. But Prabhas, despite being such a big star, showed no arrogance and immediately agreed to act in Kannappa when I asked him. At a time when my own blood relatives are wishing for my collapse, Prabhas standing by me is remarkable. That is why I hold immense respect for him,” Manchu Vishnu stated emotionally.

He further highlighted Prabhas’s special contribution to the film and noted that several other major stars—Mohanlal, Akshay Kumar, and Kajal Aggarwal—are also playing key roles in Kannappa. According to Vishnu, these actors joined the project out of personal admiration for him. He acknowledged their support, stating, “I will always remember their cooperation.” Praising the film crew, Vishnu added that every member worked diligently and demonstrated outstanding performance.

On another note, Manchu Vishnu addressed concerns raised regarding the content of the film. He stated that some individuals had lodged complaints with the Censor Board citing alleged flaws in Kannappa. “I find it amusing when I hear such things. Perhaps they are not well-versed with history. We undertook extensive research and showed the film to several priests. Only after receiving their approval did we finalize the film. Everyone who saw it said it was very good,” Vishnu explained.

Manchu Vishnu concluded by emphasizing that seeing happiness on his father Mohan Babu’s face is his highest priority. “For his sake, I paid special attention to many aspects of the film. He is extremely pleased with the outcome,” he stated.
