‘Peddi’ Village Set Erected in Hyderabad; Ram Charan Lights Up the Sets

Global star Ram Charan is currently filming the highly anticipated movie Peddi, directed by Buchi Babu Sana. The shoot is progressing rapidly, and a crucial, extended schedule has recently begun in Hyderabad. For this phase of production, a massive rural set has been constructed on the outskirts of the city, designed to reflect an authentic village atmosphere.
According to sources close to the unit, the set has been meticulously crafted to suit the film's storyline, with an emphasis on naturalism. Production designer Avinash Kolla and his team are credited with building this extensive village set, which is said to be impressive in scale and detail. Key talkie portions as well as intense action sequences will be filmed at this location.
The filmmakers revealed that approximately 30 percent of the shooting has already been completed. They anticipate that this new schedule will cover a substantial portion of the remaining film.
Peddi is being produced on a pan-India scale with a significant budget. The release of the film’s first-look glimpse has heightened audience expectations. Ram Charan will be seen in a rugged rural appearance, sporting long hair, a beard, and a nose ring, a makeover that has drawn considerable attention.
Bollywood actress Janhvi Kapoor stars as the female lead, while Kannada superstar Shiva Rajkumar, versatile actor Jagapathi Babu, and Divyenndu Sharma will appear in prominent roles. One of India’s leading cinematographers, R. Rathnavelu, is handling the camera work. Oscar-winning composer A. R. Rahman is scoring the music, and National Award-winning editor Naveen Nooli is in charge of editing.
The makers are planning to release Peddi on March 27, 2026, coinciding with Ram Charan’s birthday.
