KTR Breaks Silence on Kavitha’s Leaked Letter Controversy

The letter written by Kalvakuntla Kavitha to her father and former Chief Minister of Telangana, Kalvakuntla Chandrashekar Rao, has recently created a stir across the state. Kalvakuntla Kavitha expressed strong disapproval over the letter being leaked to the public. She remarked that her father is like a god to her and alleged that certain "evil forces" have surrounded him. She further claimed that there are Congress moles within the party, and the public disclosure of her personal letter to her father is evidence of this.
Kalvakuntla Taraka Rama Rao (K. T. Rama Rao), former Minister and brother of Kalvakuntla Kavitha, responded to this matter on Saturday. Addressing a press conference held at the party's central office, Telangana Bhavan, he advised that internal matters should be discussed within the party itself. He emphasized that everyone in the party, including himself, is a party worker and that the same rules apply to all members.
Originally, the press conference was convened to address allegations made against Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy in the National Herald case. However, when journalists requested K. T. Rama Rao to comment on Kavitha’s letter, he briefly addressed it, stating in a few words that the issue was settled and he would not be commenting further.
When asked about Kavitha’s allegation that "evil forces" exist within the party, K. T. Rama Rao responded, “The misfortune afflicting Telangana today is the Congress, and the demon is Revanth Reddy.” He stated that their party’s focus is on freeing the state from this misfortune and its associated forces.
Responding to the allegation about covert Congress members within the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), K. T. Rama Rao stated that such covert individuals exist in every party and that, in due course, their identities would become apparent. He asserted that BRS is a people's party and a democratic organization.
He added that any party worker has the right to convey their opinions and suggestions to the party president. This can be done through various means including verbal communication, letters, phone calls, or direct meetings. However, he reiterated that some matters are best discussed internally and should remain within the party framework.
It is noteworthy that throughout the press conference, K. T. Rama Rao did not mention Kalvakuntla Kavitha’s name directly.
