Preity Zinta Donates ₹1.10 Crore for Army Widows and Their Children

Preity Zinta, co-owner of the Indian Premier League franchise Punjab Kings and a noted actress, has demonstrated her generosity by announcing a donation of ₹1.10 crore to the Army Wives Welfare Association (AWWA) of the South Western Command. This contribution has been made under the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative.
The donation was extended during a program held in Jaipur, which was attended by the Army Commander of the South Western Command, regional president of the AWWA under the Shapta Shakti Command, and several army families. The funds are earmarked for the empowerment of widows of martyred soldiers and for the education of their children.
Speaking on the occasion, Preity Zinta said, “It is both an honour and a responsibility to provide assistance to the brave families of our armed forces. The sacrifices made by our soldiers can never truly be repaid. However, we can stand by their families and support them in moving forward. We are immensely proud of the Indian Armed Forces, and we stand in unwavering support of our nation and its brave defenders.”
