50,000 delegates expected as TDP gears up for historic Mahanadu in Kadapa
For the first time in its history, Kadapa district is hosting the prestigious Mahanadu event of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP). Arrangements for the event have been completed at a brisk pace. The entire city of Kadapa is adorned with yellow arches, party flags, and flex banners, creating a festive atmosphere.

According to party sources, with TDP President N. Chandrababu Naidu and National General Secretary Nara Lokesh scheduled to arrive in Kadapa tomorrow, the remaining preparations are expected to be completed in full by then.

Senior TDP leader and Swachh Andhra Corporation Chairman Kommareddy Pattabhi Ram stated that around 20 committees have been actively monitoring the arrangements. He estimated that approximately 50,000 delegates are expected to attend the event, for whom seating and food facilities have been arranged accordingly. He emphasized that the Mahanadu is being organized as a “Swachh Mahanadu” and a “Zero-Waste Event,” with the use of environmentally friendly materials.

Sources indicate that N. Chandrababu Naidu and Nara Lokesh have held extensive discussions with senior party leaders regarding the resolutions to be discussed at the event. The resolutions are expected to focus on issues such as the damage caused to the state during the previous government's tenure, the current government’s development programs, organizational strengthening of the party, and priority initiatives for youth and women.

Party members are hopeful that major announcements will be made regarding the development of the Rayalaseema region and the proposed steel plant in Kadapa district. TDP leaders have expressed confidence, stating that the Telugu Desam Party has historically championed Rayalaseema’s development and intends to give top priority to this region once again.

TDP State President Palla Srinivasa Rao said that the Mahanadu is being conducted in a manner that showcases the greatness of Kadapa to the world. Several ministers and MLAs have also called for the successful conduct of the event. They expressed the belief that the program will benefit Kadapa district and the Rayalaseema region, and urged people to attend in large numbers to make it a success.
