Chandrababu’s Influence on Nara Rohith: Actor Shares Emotional Stories
Nara Rohith, a well-known figure among Telugu cinema audiences, hails from a family with a strong political background but has carved his own niche in the film industry through a passion for acting. After a considerable hiatus, Rohith is returning to the screen with the film Bhairavam. In an interview with a popular YouTube channel, he shared several insights about his family members, particularly his uncle and Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu, and his elder brother Nara Lokesh. He also opened up about his personal life, professional challenges, and the unwavering support of his family.

Speaking about familial bonds and the influence of Nara Chandrababu Naidu, Rohith emphasized, “The most important people in my life are my uncle and aunt, Bhuvaneshwari. Without their encouragement and support, we wouldn’t be where we are today.” He added that the most valuable lesson he learned from Chandrababu Naidu was the ability to patiently listen to others. “No matter who approaches him, he always listens fully to their issues or opinions. That’s a remarkable quality, and I’m trying to adopt it as well,” he said.

Reflecting on the loss of his father, Nara Ramamurthy Naidu, Rohith shared an emotional memory: “When my father passed away, my uncle was emotionally shattered for a couple of days. He was deeply depressed, which shows how much he loved his brother.” Rohith noted that during that period, both Chandrababu Naidu and Nara Lokesh stood firmly by the family. He added that his uncle has consistently offered guidance throughout his career and even used to personally consult doctors weekly during his father’s illness to monitor his condition. Rohith expressed that Chandrababu Naidu’s imprisonment deeply affected him and would have been hard to digest for anyone who knew him closely.

Discussing his elder brother, Nara Lokesh, Rohith praised his comeback as highly inspirational. “Between 2019 and 2024, the transformation and effort Lokesh Anna put in are truly motivational. It’s remarkable when someone who was underestimated returns with strength to prove ‘I am here and I will achieve,’” he stated. Rohith also recalled their close bond since childhood and memories of spending time together in Tirupati. “Even until 2014, we used to meet weekly for lunch and to watch movies together,” he added.

Addressing speculation that he appeared in more films during the TDP’s time in power, Rohith clarified, “When I started my career in 2009, TDP was not in power. Even between 2014 and 2019, most of the films I shot had been signed before the 2014 elections and were already in production. There were about four or five such films.” He explained that his break from cinema was driven by a lack of satisfaction in the work he was doing. “At one point, I was chasing success and numbers. I was happy when I did stories I liked, but when some films didn’t perform as expected, I shifted towards commercial cinema, which didn’t resonate with me. So I took a one-year break to focus on stories I loved. However, due to COVID and my father’s health issues, the break extended longer,” Rohith elaborated.

Rohith also spoke about his personal life and revealed that his marriage is arranged with a woman named Siri, with the consent of both families. “When I informed my uncle, he immediately agreed. Our happiness matters the most to him. My engagement was also conducted with the support of my aunt, who is like a parent to me,” he said.

On friendships in the film industry, Rohith mentioned Sri Vishnu, Naga Shaurya, and Manoj Manchu as his close friends. He expressed hope that Bhairavam, which also stars Manoj and Bellamkonda Srinivas and is directed by Vijay, will bring success to everyone involved.
