At Mahanadu, Union Minister Ram Mohan Naidu Remembers His Father

Union Minister for Civil Aviation Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu delivered a political resolution speech at the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) Mahanadu held in Kadapa. He noted that the political resolution is traditionally presented as the concluding resolution of every Mahanadu and recalled that in the past, his father and senior TDP leader Kinjarapu Yerran Naidu used to present the same. He expressed special thanks to TDP chief N. Chandrababu Naidu for giving him the opportunity to follow in his father’s footsteps.
Referring to recent national developments, Ram Mohan Naidu stated that the incident in Pahalgam shook every Indian. He mentioned that 26 people lost their lives in the attack, including two Telugu individuals, which he described as especially sorrowful. He praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s decisive leadership in launching “Operation Sindoor,” which led to the elimination of 81 terrorists by Indian forces. He emphasized that this operation sends a strong message to terrorists and the nations that support them, warning that anyone disturbing peace in India will face severe consequences. He added that though TDP began as a regional party, it has consistently upheld patriotism and respected the strong ties between the state and the nation.
Highlighting TDP’s longstanding influence in national politics, Ram Mohan Naidu said that from N. T. Rama Rao to N. Chandrababu Naidu, the party has played a key role in various central coalitions. He claimed credit for TDP in supporting the election of a regional leader as Prime Minister, a Muslim individual as President, and a Dalit as Lok Sabha Speaker. He remarked that for the past 43 years, the state has maintained strong connections with the Centre, and currently, the alliance of TDP, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), and Jana Sena Party is working together in the interest of the state and national unity. He cited achievements such as resolving key issues like the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant, railway zone, Polavaram, and Amaravati projects within a year through the Centre.
He said TDP was founded for the self-respect of Telugu people and for the upliftment of the poor, underprivileged, laborers, women, and backward communities. Ram Mohan Naidu stated that while N. T. Rama Rao encouraged youth, Chandrababu Naidu is now following the same principle by giving youth prominence within the party. He lauded Chandrababu Naidu’s futuristic leadership, claiming that "What Chandrababu thinks today, India thinks tomorrow" has become a defining slogan. He credited Chandrababu Naidu with decentralizing administration through schemes like Janmabhoomi, DWCRA groups, IT, and Genome Valley, and noted that Genome Valley played a crucial role in the development of the COVID-19 vaccine.
He praised Chandrababu Naidu for introducing the Public-Private Partnership model in airport development and land pooling for the construction of Amaravati, presenting them as exemplary models globally. Ram Mohan Naidu said that river interlinking was Chandrababu’s lifelong ambition and claimed that this vision is now on the path to realization through Prime Minister Modi, echoing efforts made during Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s tenure.
Criticizing the previous government, Ram Mohan Naidu alleged that under Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s five-year rule, people of the state experienced misery. He accused the government of beginning with the demolition of Praja Vedika, deceiving citizens with the concept of three capitals, suppressing dissent, burdening the public through "Badhude Badhudu", and confining Dalits to their homes while exposing them to violence. He alleged that the legislative assembly was turned into a place for foul language, and central funds, land, sand, mining, and tribal funds were looted. He further claimed that fake liquor led to the ruin of thousands of families. Ram Mohan Naidu also criticized the arrest of Chandrababu Naidu, calling it a major blunder that led to the downfall of Jagan Mohan Reddy’s rule.
Speaking about youth leadership, he said Nara Lokesh envisioned extending TDP’s legacy for another 40 years. He praised Lokesh for undertaking the “Yuvagalam” padayatra across 3,000 kilometers, despite challenges, which he claimed inspired youth nationwide. He stated that although Lokesh had lost in Mangalagiri previously, he contested again and won with a majority of 91,413 votes, proving his resolve. He added that under Chandrababu Naidu’s leadership, over 60 young MLAs have emerged and that TDP is the youngest party in Parliament, setting an example for youth participation in politics.
Ram Mohan Naidu said that enrolling one crore members within 45 days stands as a testament to Lokesh’s leadership capabilities. He called upon everyone to support the dissemination of the “Six Legislations” proposed by Lokesh and to help lead the party forward for the next 40 years.
In conclusion, Ram Mohan Naidu thanked N. Chandrababu Naidu for appointing him as a Union Minister and for the opportunity to present the political resolution at Mahanadu. He expressed confidence that the Telugu Desam Party would endure for as long as the sun and moon exist.
