Nara Lokesh Condemns Sajjala's Remarks Against Women Protesters

Andhra Pradesh Minister Nara Lokesh has strongly objected to the remarks made by YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) State Coordinator Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy regarding the arrest of Sakshi TV presenter Kommineni Srinivasarao. Nara Lokesh criticized YSRCP leaders for calling women “mixed breed” when they protest peacefully with photos of those who insulted them. “What kind of language is this? What kind of outrageous behavior is this?” Nara Lokesh said, expressing deep anger at the conduct of YSRCP leaders.
Nara Lokesh severely condemned the attitude of YSRCP leaders and some journalists associated with Sakshi Media towards women. “Senior journalists from Sakshi insulted women by calling them prostitutes. Now, YSRCP leaders are further degrading them by calling them 'mixed breed'. Why such contempt for women?” he said with anguish.
He alleged that the behavior of YSRCP leaders reflects the inhumane approach taken by Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, who, according to him, had once cast aside his own mother and sister. He warned that if anyone violates the self-respect of women or targets them, strict legal action will be taken. Lokesh affirmed that people have the democratic right to protest and emphasized that belittling them for exercising this right is unacceptable. He also shared a video of Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy's remarks to support his claims.
The controversy follows a recent uproar caused by journalist Krishnamraju during a panel discussion aired on Sakshi TV. He had made highly objectionable comments, calling Amaravati “the capital of prostitutes,” which sparked outrage across the state. In response, the police have already arrested Sakshi TV presenter Kommineni Srinivasarao in connection with the incident.
