International Yoga Day Is a Great Honour for India: Pawan Kalyan
Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Pawan Kalyan stated that the International Yoga Day is a great honour bestowed upon India. He made these remarks while participating in the 'Yogandhra' event held on the seashore of Visakhapatnam on the occasion of the 11th International Yoga Day.

Pawan Kalyan emphasised that India has played a crucial role in showcasing the significance of yoga to the world. He mentioned that the 'Yogandhra' programme aims to set a world record. Expressing confidence in the success of this endeavour, he said, “With the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the efforts of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, we are hopeful of achieving this feat.”

He noted that the Rigveda, dating back thousands of years, had already highlighted the importance of yoga to humanity. However, he praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for popularising yoga on a global scale in modern times.

The yoga celebrations held at the Visakhapatnam beach received an overwhelming response from the public. Lakhs of people participated enthusiastically, performing yoga asanas. Pawan Kalyan remarked that the event reflects the growing public interest in yoga. He added that yoga greatly benefits both physical and mental health, urging everyone to make yoga a part of their daily lives.
