IPS Siddharth Kaushal Voluntarily Resigns Amid Rumors
Senior Indian Police Service (IPS) officer Siddharth Kaushal has officially tendered his voluntary resignation from the Indian Police Service, bringing an end to 13 plus years of service. In a press statement released on Tuesday, Siddharth Kaushal confirmed that his decision was made purely on personal grounds after considerable self-reflection. He emphasized that the move aligns with his long-term life goals and the wishes of his family members.

“Serving in the IPS has been the most fulfilling and enriching journey of my life,” Siddharth Kaushal said. Reflecting on his years in Andhra Pradesh, he described them as a privilege and expressed deep affection and pride for the state and its people. “I have always considered this state my home, and its people will remain in my heart with deep affection and pride,” he stated.

In response to speculation circulating in sections of the media, Siddharth Kaushal directly addressed reports suggesting that his resignation was the result of harassment or external pressure. He firmly rejected such claims, calling them “completely baseless and misleading.” He reiterated, “My decision is entirely independent, personal, and voluntary.”

Siddharth Kaushal extended heartfelt gratitude to the Government of Andhra Pradesh, his seniors, colleagues, juniors, and the citizens he had the honour of serving throughout his career. “Your support and trust have shaped both the officer and the person I am today,” he said.

He concluded his statement by expressing optimism about the future, stating that he plans to contribute to society in new and meaningful ways. “As I move forward, I do so with gratitude, purpose, and clarity,” he added.

Siddharth Kaushal is a 2012-batch IPS officer who has held several significant roles throughout his career, including Superintendent of Police (SP) in Krishna and Prakasam districts. He most recently served as Inspector General (IG) for Law and Order in Andhra Pradesh before his resignation.

Although his official statement makes no reference to future career plans, sources suggest that Siddharth Kaushal may be preparing for a transition to the private sector, with speculation pointing to a corporate role based in Delhi.
