Mekapati Goutham’s father, brother meet CM; Jagan agrees to field Vikram from Atmakur
Amaravati, April 29: YSRCP leader and former MP Mekapati Rajamohan Reddy and his youngest son Mekapati Vikram Reddy met Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy met at latter’s camp office here. Speaking to the media, Rajamohan stated that his son sought blessings of the CM before making entry into politics.
“We have already informed the CM that Vikram will join politics two weeks ago,” he mentioned and added that political parties will announce their candidates after the notification is released for holding by-poll to Atmakur. The by-election was necessitated with the sudden demise of sitting MLA and former minister Mekapati Goutham Reddy.
Vikram told the reporters that he will strive to fulfil the unfinished goals of his brother Goutham by joining politics. “I will seek the blessings of people in Atmakur Assembly constituency. CM Jagan is role model for me in politics,” he stated. He further said that he will take active role in Gadapa Gadapaku YSRCP programme in Atmakur. The YSRCP had finalised the candidature of Vikram for Atmakur by-poll.
