TDP activists attacked me at G. Kothapalli village: MLA Talari Venkat Rao
Eluru, April 30: Gopalapuram YSRCP MLA Talari Venkat Rao, who was rescued by police from G. Kothapalli village, on Saturday, alleged that the TDP activists have attacked and injured him. “I have never seen faces of attackers when I visited the village in the past on several occasions,” he stated.
To a question, the MLA said that Ganji Prasad, G. Kothapalli village president, and MPTC Bazaraiah belong to the YSRCP. “I visited village immediately on receiving information about Prasad’s murder. I rejected gunmen as security because I have a habit of going alone to any place,” he mentioned.
While agreeing rivalry between groups of Ganji and Bazaraiah, Venkat Rao said that he tried his level best to bring unity among them. “I made both of them sit on the stage when I had felicitated volunteers in G. Kothapalli village,” he recalled and added that he will ensure that justice is done to family members of deceased.
