KCR borrowed Rs 5 lakh crore in seven-year TRS rule: TPCC chief Revanth

Hyderabad, May 18: TPCC president Revanth Reddy on Wednesday participated in ‘Meet The Press’ organised by the Telangana Journalists Adhyayana Vedika here and alleged that Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao has borrowed Rs 5 lakh crore in the last seven years of his rule while the debt by successive governments in the combined state was only Rs 69,000 crore.

Revanth mentioned that Telangana had surplus budget of Rs 16,000 crore soon after bifurcation. He exuded confidence of Congress coming back to power within 12 months in Telangana. “Once Congress comes to power then we will implement the Warangal Declaration,” he said.

The TPCC chief accused TRS government of indulging in real estate business by taking assigned lands from farmers. Why farmers are still using 30 lakh pump sets when KCR claiming water for one crore acres was provided from the Kaleshwaram Project, he asked.
