TDP leaders meet Guntur SP, alleges cases filed on Kantheru victims
Guntur, June 14: A delegation led by former minister and TDP politburo member Nakka Anand Babu met Guntur SP here on Tuesday and brought to his notice that police officials are taking decisions unilaterally to benefit ruling YSRCP leaders. They informed SP that cops registered cases against victims of Kantheru village.
Apart from Anand Babu, former TDP MLAs Sravan Kumar and Alapati Rajendra Prasad were part of the delegation. The TDP leaders also complained to the SP that the YSRCP leaders have assaulted Vangipuram sarpanch and her family members when they objected to illegal mud mining from the lake.
Speaking to the media, Anand Babu expressed anger over SP for saying that police will probe on complaints submitted by the TDP and YSRCP functionaries. “I have never seen ruling party leaders attacking victims in the presence of DSP,” he said and warned of taking serious action against culprits once the TDP comes back to power.
