Release TDP social media activists, Chandrababu demands Jagan govt
Amaravati, June 30: TDP national president N. Chandrababu Naidu condemned the arrest of TDP social media activists Venkatesh and Sambasiva Rao by the CID cops in the early hours of Thursday. Both including Venkatesh, who belongs to Dharanikota village of Amaravati mandal in Guntur district, were arrested for posting objectionable videos on their YouTube channels against Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy and YSRCP government.
In a social media post, Chandrababu faulted the CID police for arresting them. “Is it wrong to highlight wrongdoings of the state government,” he asked. The TDP chief said that they only expressed their opinions on inefficient rule of the AP government.
Chandrababu alleged that the CID sleuths committed crime by damaging the lights in the house of Venkatesh while arresting him. He warned those CID cops, who are trying to impress the Jagan government, will pay heavy penalty once the TDP comes to power. Naidu demanded the government to release both of them immediately.
