Install Alluri statue in Parliament, Chandrababu writes to PM, LS Speaker
Amaravati, July 2: TDP national president N. Chandrababu Naidu wrote letters to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Lok Sabha Speaker Om Prakash Birla on Saturday urging them to install statue of revolutionary freedom fighter Alluri Sitarama Raju in the Parliament, on the occasion of his 125th birth anniversary celebrations.
Chandrababu said that the PM visiting Bhimavaram in West Godavari district to unveil 30-feet bronze statue of Alluri on Monday (July 4) as part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations is an honour to Telugu people.
The TDP chief thanked the PM on behalf of Telugu people for including Alluri statue inauguration in Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. “People will cherish unveiling of Alluri statue by Narendra Modi forever,” he stated.
The PM, AP Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy and Union Minister Kishan Reddy will address a public meeting after inaugurating the statue. Heavy security is in place for the PM visit to Bhimavaram.
