Allu Arjun, Jr. NTR, Ram Charan agree to reduce remuneration
Hyderabad, July 27: Decision to stop some of the film shootings from August 1 by the Active Telugu Film Producers Guild (ATFPG) has created ripples in Telugu film industry. On Tuesday, the ATFPG issued an official statement in this regard. The statement said that cost of filmmaking increased rapidly post pandemic.
Meanwhile, prominent Tollywood producer Dil Raju held talks with top heroes like Allu Arjun, Jr. NTR, and Ram Charan over guild’s decision to stop shooting from August 1. According to reports, they have agreed to reduce their renumeration from next film onwards.
The ATFPG also decided to release big budget films on OTT platforms after ten weeks of theatrical release and small budget films (below Rs 6 crore) after four weeks.
Meanwhile, megastar Chiranjeevi wrote a letter to the Telugu Film Producers Council (TFPC) urging to take a final decision on stopping film shootings after detailed discussions. The TFPC meeting is underway here on Wednesday.
