ED to issue notices to MLAs, MLCs based on Chikoti Praveen’s WhatsApp chat

Hyderabad, August 6:  The Enforcement Directorate (ED) analysed messages of WhatsApp in casino dealer Chikoti Praveen’s mobile and found that he interacted with several political leaders and industrialists belonging to Telangana and Andhra Pradesh states. Very soon, the ED would serve notices to them, according to sources.
 
Some of the politicians, who would likely to receive notices are TRS MLC N. Ramana, former TRS MLA Teegala Krishna Reddy, Amberpet TRS MLA Kaleru Venkatesh, Rajendranagar TRS MLA Prakash Goud and Medak DCCB chairman Ch Devender Reddy.
 
The ED found that Praveen organised seven casino events in various foreign countries but money was paid to winners in Hyderabad through hawala transactions in violation of FEMA rules. The agency also probing Rs 5 crore spent on party to celebrate birthday of Chikoti Praveen in Hyderabad. A businessman by name Sampath gave Rs 2 crore for birthday party and remaining spent from Praveen’s pocket.
