Why Balakrishna not suspended from TDP for misogynistic comments, asks Roja
Tirupati, August 18: Responding to Tollywood actor and TDP MLA Nandamuri Balakrishna’s remarks against YSRCP MP Gorantla Madhav in Hindupur constituency on Wednesday, Tourism Minister R.K. Roja on Thursday asked as to why TDP chief N. Chandrababu Naidu did not suspend Balakrishna from the party for misogynistic comments against women.
Speaking to the media, the minister said that Madhav had hoisted the national flag as Lok Sabha MP. She stated that i-TDP is behind uploading nude video call of Gorantla on social media using UK-based mobile number. “TDP wants to tarnish the image of Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy by using obscene video,” she alleged.
Roja flayed Balakrishna for saying that ministers in the YSRCP government have no powers. “Probably, he might have seen ministers in previous Chandrababu government not responding to his requests,” she said and added that Balakrishna never approached the YSRCP ministers with requests till date.
